Here’s hoping for a better Thursday Night Football game. We all deserve one. And the only way I know to guarantee you enjoy the game is to make sure you have the right bets placed. So I am going to give them to you. Did I mention I am the (self proclaimed) hottest gambler on the planet right now? So you should give me a chance. And if you make money you have to follow me on twitter. Those are the rules. Anyway, here’s how you can make money on the Thursday game. I’ll keep it short and sweet because I’m at work and really don’t need to get fired. Plus I know you just want winners.
All Lions, All Night
So here it is. I’m all over the Lions in this game. What it comes down to is this. The Lions are trying to prove they belong this year and that they aren’t just another middle of the pack team. This Thursday game is against a division opponent that is without a hall of fame QB for the first season in forever and is still finding their way. The Packers scored 18 points last week and needed a missed field goal by the Saints to win that game. If the Lions mean business then they have to show up big in this game. So the picks are as follows:
Sam Laporta Over 4.5 Receptions (-110)- He has at least 5 catches in every game this year. With all the attention that teams have to pay to Amon-Ra St. Brown, I think this will be an easy winner. Laporta had a break out game against the Falcons and I believe Jared Goff will be looking his way often.
Jahmyr Gibbs Over 37.5 Rushing Yards (-115)- The Packers are giving up 96 rushing yards a game. Gibbs had 17 carries in the Lions last game for 80 yards. 32 yards should be easy. All we need is one 15 yard run and I believe he will get at least one of those.
Jordan Love Over 33.5 Pass Attempts (-125)- Jordan Love threw the ball 44 times against the Falcons. They were behind for most of that game, so the Packers had to throw the ball a lot. I see this game going the same way. Which leads perfectly in to the next pick…
Lions -2 (-110)- The Lions are winning this game. The Lions are winning this game easily. I know, typically you should take a division underdog at home. Not tonight. Like I said, the Lions are trying to prove they belong in the group of teams that could make some noise this year. This is the game to do it. I might would even consider the alternate line of Lions -7.5 (+235). The Packers aren’t good people. Take the Lions.
Long Shots
Now for some longer shot picks that could make us all rich. These picks do not affect my record by the way. I can’t lose the title of hottest gambler on the planet* on these picks. Come on I’m trying to make us all rich here.
Sam Laporta First Touchdown Scorer (+1200)- If you haven’t noticed I am very high on Sam Laporta. And who wants to take the favorite on a first td scorer? Losers that’s who. I think the Lions score first and I hope it’s Sam Laporta.
Jahmry Gibbs 2 Touchdowns (+600)- Alabama players dominate the NFL. You know it, I know, it, we all know it. Roll Tide. What more do you need?
Aidan Hutchinson 2 Sacks (+400)- Did I mention I love the Lions tonight? The Packers will be down most of the night. They will have to throw the ball a lot (see Jordan Love prop bet above). Hutchinson will have a lot of opportunities for sacks.
Alright that’s what I’ve got for tonight. Lions Lions Lions. Now get out there and win some money!
