We are getting closer to the NFL season and that means we are getting closer to fantasy football drafts. A big topic in every friends group chat will be “who has fantasy football punishment ideas for this year?” You could of course go with the typical $20 buy in or even worse, just play for bragging rights. That is a sure fire way to make sure that the bottom teams quit caring after week 3 or having players not even set lineups in the later season. If you want people to stay involved the whole way through, here are a few ideas for your league.
Stand Up Comedy

A perfect fantasy football punishment that is easy enough to pull off and fun for everybody that isn’t the loser. The only thing you need is a comedy club near you with an open mic night. You and all your friends get to go out, drink too much, and watch some decent comedy. And then at some point you’ll get to watch one of your friends absolutely embarrass his or her self. Or I guess potentially go up and actually be really funny (not likely). Either way it should be good for some laughs for the group.
Loser Makes An Only Fans
Another great one. Unless you have a woman in your league, that could be a little dicey. Or maybe you’d be giving her an excuse to jump in to it and make thousands of dollars who knows? But for a league full of dudes this would be a great punishment. The loser has to set up an Only Fans account and has to sell feet pics until they make a set amount of money. Or they could get as deep into it as they wanted, their call I suppose.
Take The ACT/SAT

I personally like this one. The loser has to take the ACT or SAT until they make a certain score. That means they have to at the very least take like 4 hours one Saturday morning, go sit in a class room, and take a standardized test that they probably haven’t done in years. And depending on what your group decides to set the score at, it could also mean studying or maybe even multiple attempts. Also depending on how smart (or dumb) your leagues loser is, you’ll probably get to make fun of how stupid they are. Just make sure that person is not you.
Bowl A Perfect Game
This one I stole from the Pardon My Take Podcast. But if you watched any of how it went down you know it looked like a great time. No normal person can bowl a perfect game, so here’s how it works. The loser can’t leave the bowling alley until they bowl a perfect game, but for every hot dog they eat 10 points are taken off the score of 300. So if they ate 10 hot dogs, now they would only have to bowl a 200. You and your group could determine the amount of points a hot dog is worth to make it a little easier or harder, up to you. And it would be great to keep track of through the losers documentation of it, or you and your league could spend a nice day at the lanes watching the loser suffer.
Super Bowl Foreign Radio Broadcast
This one is just cruel. But certainly fits the punishment category. When it comes time for the Super Bowl you and all your friends can crowd around the tv and enjoy the game. But the loser has to sit in another room and listen to a radio broadcast that they can’t understand. Brutal. Imagine if the loser’s team is in the game and they have no idea what is happening. This one could genuinely cause some hate in the group. But it is a fantasy football punishment ideas.
Interview For A Job The League Chooses

Another funny one. But since it is an interview for a job you wouldn’t get to see the pay off happen. But sometimes just picturing the possibilities and joking with your friends about what is happening can be just as good. And then you’ll get the recap from the loser and you can clown them again. The group can make a resume for the league loser and pick the jobs that they apply too. Then send them in blind and see what happens, Maybe they will find a new career path and are forever grateful. I have to assume most leagues would not be sending the loser to a job interview that will be an upgrade from their current position, but I guess you never know. There could also be people that would say sending someone to a job interview that they have no interest in is a waste of some uninvolved person’s time and there are other people who need that job. To those people I say, shut up, we all hate you, and you are bigger loser than the people in all these leagues.
What Are Your Fantasy Football Punishment Ideas?
There are a few fantasy football punishment ideas for your league this upcoming season. Sure, you could go with the 24 hours at waffle house punishment that everybody has seen, or a tattoo bet that nobody is going to follow through on. These are some ideas that can easily be pulled off and are basically harmless. I’m sure people reading this have plenty more ideas. I would love to hear about those or if you end up using any of these!
